Off-Season in Aspen & Beyond: What to Do Right Now
Off-season in Aspen — I have you covered. As a long-time local who’s been through many of them, I can confidently say it’s one of the best times of year.
The pace slows, the crowds clear out, and you get to experience Aspen the way we actually live here. And with the low snow this year, everything is opening up early — making it even better.
Here’s what I’m doing right now:
Get Outside
With sunnier days and early trail access, hiking is already in play.
- Smuggler Mountain — a go-to for a quick workout with incredible views
- Sunnyside Trail — dry, exposed, and perfect this time of year
- Hunter Creek Loop — great for hiking or getting back on the bike
Move Your Body
Off-season is the perfect time to reset and get back into a routine.
- O2 Aspen — great classes and energy right in town
- Shakti Shala — more of a local, grounded yoga feel
- Arjuna Yoga — strong community and a great mix of classes
Relax & Recharge
Take advantage of the quieter pace and actually enjoy Aspen’s wellness scene.
- Spa day at the St. Regis — classic, elevated, and always worth it
- Head down valley to Glenwood Hot Springs — especially midweek when it’s quieter
- Or go a bit further to Avalanche Ranch — more low-key, tucked into nature, and one of the best hidden gems for soaking and unplugging
Why Off-Season is the Best
This is when Aspen feels the most real. You can get into restaurants, move around town easily, and actually enjoy everything without the rush of peak season.
It’s also a great time in the real estate market — more opportunity, less competition, and a chance to be strategic.
If you’re thinking about spending more time here, investing, or just want to understand the market right now — I’m always here as a resource.
